Hopkins, a longtime Manteca resident, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1979, in a Tracy hospital, following a long illness. He was 73. A native of Missouri, Mr. Hopkins had lived in Manteca 20 years and was retired from the State Division of Highways. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sons, Roger of Texas and Larry of Sacramento; a daughter, Linda Aksland of Manteca brothers, Ray of Colorado, Ben of Kansas and Frank of Hemet; sisters, Della Ketcher of Oceanside and Alta Hopper of Visalia; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow, in the chapel of P. L. Fry & Son Mortuary. Committal will be in Park View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., Friday.
