Wednesday, December 06, 2000 Stockton Record Edward Riley Shipping clerk, WWII veteran Edward "Pappy" Riley, 91, of Stockton died Saturday in a hospital. He was born in Coffeeville, Kan., and lived Compton before moving to Stockton in 1986. He retired after 25 years from Gordon Enterprises in North Hollywood. Mr. Riley was a shipping clerk. He served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Riley was a member of Mayfair Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors: wife, Parthenia Bates-Riley of Stockton; children, David Long of Hercules, Pearlie Smith of Palmdale, Stephani Walton of Stockton, Sybil Nixon of Suisun City and Kimberly Long of Fresno; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Mayfair Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5 W. Swain Road. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, Thompson Memorial Chapel, 2118 E.
