Ok.. no death cert found.. probably name spelled different... so will try another spelling after the holidays. Obit was there tho.. Stockton Record, 12 Aug 1930, pg 17 Rooke- In Stockton, 11 Aug 1930, Elizabeth ROOKE, widow of William John Rooke; mother of Mrs E. D. Pritchard of Stockton. Mrs H. A. Becker and the late Mrs Ada Ricketts of Sacramento; grandmother of Mrs. C. R. Dabadie of Stockton, Mrs C. H. Spring and Mrs. E. C. Underwood of Sacramento; a native of OH, aged 90 years, 1 month and 20 days. Funeral service will be held on Wed. Aug 13 at BC Wallace Chapel. Burial in Sacramento's Odd Fellows Cemetery. With the census info I found earlier.. think this is the lady you seek. Let me know if you really need a recheck on the death cert.. or if the obit is enough. I especially wondered if the obituary might name surviving siblings of any type, since my theory is that Elizabeth Rook may have been the half-sister or stepsister of my great-grandfather and his two brothers, who were still alive as of 1930. Also, she had a daughter Ada (who we may have a photograph of), so I wondered if she might be mentioned as well. Thanks again and good luck, David
