You can access transcribed version of San Joaquin Co., CA that are from the microfilm of that counties marriage records on the LDS web page. Go to the LDS web page: http://www.familysearch.com or http://www.familysearch.org Once the page comes up you will see four tabs: Home, Search, Share, Library Click on the 'Search' tab. A page will appear and to the left you will see: International Genealogical Index, go ahead and click that item A page will appear and do this: Last Name: Enter the last name you want to find (don't enter a first name in cas John is listed as Jno or George is listed as Geo.) Where it says 'Event' click and display 'Marriage' Where it says 'Region' click and display'North America' When it displays 'Country' click and show 'United States' When it displays 'State' click and show 'California' Then at the bottom it has 'Batch Number' Enter this number: M586691 Then click the search tab. Now a page will appear and depending on the surname you entered what will display is anyone and everyone by that last name the married in San Joaquin Co., CA from 1850-1865. It is that simple. Now if you want othe counties in California then here is other counties I have found. Alameda M587011 1866-1878 Calaveras M720001 1854-1895 Solano M586821 1853-1893 Sonoma M587051 1843-1889 Also if you will vary the very last number in the batch number it may yield more records for a county. For Example: If you entered M586691 you get 1850-1865, however if you back and enter M586692 it may show 1865-???. I haven't tried it for that number but it did work on another county. Give it a try, it does work. Richard
