My grandmother told me that he died in the County Hospital in Stockton, San JoaQuin County, California. She told me that he was buried in potters field and that a hospital was built over the top of the graves. I found a publication that was titled "Old Cemeteries, California, which was published in 1964. He was listed as being buried in the Stockton State Hospital Cemetery. I tried to write to the Stockton State Hospital at 510 East Magnolia Street, Stockton, Ca, and the letter was returned to me as undeliverable. Does anyone know about this cemetery or this hospital? How can I find records for it? My great-grandfather was William Elsworth KENNEDY, born March 9, 1862 in Wisconsin, died on July 18, 1919 in Stockton. His wife was Helga WINGE.
