Born Jan. 7, 1925, in Lodi, Mrs. Buford was the daughter of the late Carl and Louisa Johanna Storz. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1942, and retired from the County of Sacramento Department of Public Works after 23 years of dedicated service. Her passions in life were her family and friends, the color purple and the San Francisco Giants. Mrs. Buford is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Gerald Weigt of Winters; and numerous nieces; nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jenifer Kay; sisters, Ilene Buttell and Ruby Bunch; and brother, Donald Storz. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, May 10, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi. Entombment will be private. The family requests memorials be directed to American Cancer Society; Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617; or the charity of the donor's choice.
