MEEKER DIES FUNERAL RITES SET HERE FOR SATURDAY Warren F. Meeker, 80, for the past 22 years a resident of Woodland and for ten years an emploee of the City, died 2 o'clock Thursday morning at his home, 1101 Second Street. He had been in failing health for many years. A native of California, Mr. Meeker located here in 1915. He worked for ten years in the city street department under Superintendant george Hazeman, retiring in 1932 because of failing health. he was married 36 years ago, Tulare County, and before locating here, he and his family lived in sevral San Joaquin Valley Communities. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Kraft Brothers Chapel. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetary. In addition to his widow, he is survived by nine children: Warren, LLoyd and Fred of Woodland, Mrs. Laura Everett of Guinda, Mrs. Katherine Johnson of Salinas, Roy Meeker of Santa Rosa, Chester Meeker of Arroyo Grande and Marion Meeker of Berkeley. There are 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren also surviving. In additon, two sisters survives: Mrs. Dolly Wilson of Hanford and Mrs. Kate Hicks of Fresno.
