She was born in Chatfield, Minn., and grew up there and in Austin, Minn. She married Eugene V. Blighton in Austin in 1945 and lived in Blooming Prairie, Minn.; for 14 years. Mrs. Blighton came to Lodi in 1965 and worked for Plant Nurseries in Lodi. She enjoyed working with plants and flowers and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. Mr. Blighton preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by three sons, Tim Blighton and Tom Blighton, both of Lodi, and Ron Blighton of Galt; one daughter, Barbara Whittemore of Galt; one brother, John Dolan of Minnesota; one sister, Mary Wels of Minnesota, and four grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lodi Funeral Home Chapel, then proceed to St. Anne's Catholic Church, were a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. Recitation of the rosary will be today at 7:15 p.m. at the Lodi Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:00 a.m. today.
