Hi... I have found several cases where a person is listed on the Social security death index as having died in San Joaquin county (or what seems like), including my own father. My dad died in Livermore at the veteran's hospital there. He is listed in CADI as having died in Alameda county (correct). Remember the SSDI lists the last place the person is known to have lived.. but if they died in another place.. that may not be listed... like my dad's case.. he was taken to Livermore (by family) because he was a veteran.
