Stroud Paul Burton Stroud died Aug. 16, 2000, in Vacaville. Born March 7, 1965, in Stockton, he was 35 years old. A Woodland resident for the past 15 years, he had worked as a welder for West State Welding in Woodland, Radiator Specialties in Sacramento and most recently Altec in Dixon. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was politically active with conservative Christian groups. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping, and will be remembered as a devoted father and family man. He is survived by his daughters Erika and Stephanie Stroud of Woodland; mother, Rosie Canerday of Vacaville; father, James Stroud; sister, Carol Noel of Oregon; and brothers, Ron Ruson of Oregon and Tom Stroud of Grass Valley. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home. Interment will be at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.
