The closing ceremonies for the Viet Nam Memorial Moving Wall will be at 10:00 am tomorrow morning (Friday August 2, 2002). There will be many guest speakers, including a decorated veteran from Stockton. If you have not viewed the wall & are within driving distance, please, keep the kids out of school & bring them down. The wall is open 24 hours. They were very busy today, but still lots of free parking & there is no admission charge. No one asks for donatations, but if you can, there is a little post with a slot for them. This is a wonderful way for home schooled children to learn a bit of history. A wonderful field trip. I will be at the ceremony tomorrow... digital camera in hand. I have taken some photos & will put them on a tribute page to the wall & my cousin Johnny Lawrence Edwards, who never made it home. The nitetime viewing is well lit & cooler than daytime. Rubbings are allowed, with all supplies provided free of charge.
