I live in Utica, New York and a great number came to live here in Utica New York who were from the village of Ausonia. I think with out question we are related to each other from the Petronio surname BY THE PEOPLE from the village with the surname Petroio. I have talked to 5 people who do genealogy research for the coutry of Italy. I will be hiring them this year, as I go over my Italian information to make prepreations for there search. I have learned that our village Ausonia can go back to the early 1800's for bothCIVIL and PARISH records. There is a greater chance that we can go in to the 1700's, BUT for the PARISH RECORDS only not Civil Records.
