A man who lived in Linden, *Douglas Twp. San Joaquin, CA. circa 1930. According to family info, this man got into trouble and was either lynched after he was jailed or caused his own death. Apparently this man also had two wives at the time and several children. I don't want to publicly disclose his name at this time. As I don't know yet what the circumstances were. So if you have the capability or access to Newspaper records or Obits. Please write me personally at kurtsgenmail at Yahoo dot COM. Thank You very much Best regards Note:* Douglas township was named in honor of David F. Douglas, senator from the San Joaquin district. The township was created in 1859. In forming the township the supervisors cut off the southern part of Elliott township. It is bounded on the north by Elliott, east by Stanislaus County, south by the base line and west by the Weber survey. The legislature in giving additional territory to Stanislaus County in 1860 also took a part of Douglas township. Within this district lie the towns of Peters, Linden and Farmington Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
