Thanks for the other web sites to search. Ed McCann & Laura Nelson are my grandparents Some additional information on Edward James McCann. I think that he was born in Mariposa. He was a miner and also worked for an oil company. He & Laura lived in the following counties (that I know about): San Bernardino, Kern, Contra Costa, Mariposa, &Kings. Edward died 4-2-1920 in Richmond, Contra CA. After Edward's death Laura moved to San Francisco with her two daughters. The San Francisco City Directory has her listed as a widow living there in 1923 & 1924. She then married William DeLong perhaps in San Francisco. The marriage ended with his being murdered by someone who wanted his car and I think that his body was found in or near Stockton. Laura then moved back to Mohave Co. AZ (date unknown) and married Harley Davis on 9-24-1927. Thanks for any help.
