    1. [CASANJOA] Root Cellar Sacramento Genealogical Society Announces 2013 Seminar Topics
    2. Root Cellar Contact Team
    3. Root Cellar Sacramento Genealogical Society is excited to announce the four topics that guest speaker Thomas MacEntee will present at its 22nd annual Spring Seminar on Saturday, 16 March 2013: -- Building a Research Toolbox -- Internet Archive: A Gold Mine for Genealogists -- Social Networking: New Horizons for Genealogists -- You Use WHAT for Genealogy? Wonderful Uses for Unusual Tools About the Speaker Thomas MacEntee is a professional genealogist specializing in the use of technology and social media to improve genealogy research and as a way to connect with others in the family history community. When he’s not busy writing blog posts, organizing the 2000+ members of GeneaBloggers (http://www.geneabloggers.com), teaching online genealogy webinars and more, Thomas MacEntee is busy in his role as “genealogy ninja.” Thomas manages to get the inside track on emerging technologies and vendors as they relate to the genealogy industry. After being laid off from a 25-year career in the tech industry in 2008, he has been able to “repurpose” his skill set for the genealogy community and loves to see other genealogists succeed, whether it is with their own research or building their own careers in the field. Seminar Information: Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Place: Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, 11427 Fair Oaks Blvd., Fair Oaks, California Contact: Diane Maltase, Chairperson, [email protected] Details will be forthcoming at http://www.rootcellar.org and http://rootcellarramblings.blogspot.com. The website and blog now have descriptions of each session. Seating will be limited so check back often for registration information. Hope to see you there! -Denise H. Richmond Publicity Chairperson
