Bennett in Flat River, on Friday, May 5, 1950, aged 84 years 8 months 16 days. In January, 1899 she was united in marriage to John Griffard who preceded her in death in Stockton [San Joaquin County], Calif. on June 25, 1923. The couple had no children. Mr. and Mrs. Griffard lived in Flat River before locating in California, and she returned to Missouri following his death. She leaves to mourn her passing two brothers, John J. and Henry Bennett of Flat River and a sister, Miss Anna Bennett of Stockton, Calif., also two nieces and three nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Griffard was a member of the Episopal Church in Stockton, and was a charter member of the Mother's Club, now named the Flat River Woman's Club. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Flat River Presbyterian Church, conducted by the pastor, Dr. G. M. Hull. Interment was in St. Francois Memorial Park. Alvin Hood Service. He lived in Stockton for 45 years. Mr. Imes was a county collector with San Joaquin County. He was a member of Elks Lodge 218 and Disabled Veterans of America. Mr. Imes served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was married for 48 years. Survivors: wife, Nora E. She was born in Chatfield, Minn., and grew up there and in Austin, Minn. She married Eugene V. Blighton in Austin in 1945 and lived in Blooming Prairie, Minn.; for 14 years. Mrs. Blighton came to Lodi in 1965 and worked for Plant Nurseries in Lodi. She enjoyed working with plants and flowers and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. Mr. Blighton preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by three sons, Tim Blighton and Tom Blighton, both of Lodi, and Ron Blighton of Galt; one daughter, Barbara Whittemore of Galt; one brother, John Dolan of Minnesota; one sister, Mary Wels of Minnesota, and four grandchildren. She was born in Western KY. Annie was a practicing Roman Catholic as was her husband. We assume her German parents were also. Mother assumed to be Lena Polenskie, also born in Europe. No surviving siblings. Two other births listed. "Frank" was born in Handover, Germany. Served 4 years in the military. Was a cobbler. Left for the US in 1855. Lena appears in the paperwork to have left Germany in 1866. This is the name on the other side of the gravemarker, along with an 18 year old boy named Joseph J.Polenskie. We are unsure if this is Annie's mother because she was 19 years older than Frank! No other name is listed however. Mary Elizabeth Leidecker was the daughter to Annie and John Liedecker. She was born in late March of 1031-32. She died when she was 31 years old of TB. Melodean was her only child. Myrchelle A.(Sometimes written Aree) Keeling was a staunch protastant. ( His entire family were VERY active in the church; he and relatives founded a church in Paducah, KY) His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Keeling of Hard Money, Ky. He had several siblings. Mostly sisters, I was told. He married 2 times after Mary Elizebethe died. Once to a girl 5 years Melodean's senior; Lorena. They had three children: Marion and June, who both died at ages 3 and 4 of childhood diseases, and Marvin Keeling, the elder of the three who survives today and lives in Western Kentucky. Mealodean ( later changed to Melodean) Keeling Largent, born Dec.30, 1926. Daughter to Myrcelle and Mary Elizebethe Leidecker Keeling. Died June 11, 1982 of Cancer. We called her "Meme". Although raised by a single protestant father most of her girlhood, she was strongly influenced by her German grandparents and was a practicing Roman Catholic. She married Thomas Edward Largent in Feb 1945. Thomas Bryant Largent, born Oct 20 (aprx 1905)in TN, was one of 13 living children, 15 in total. He died in Nov of 1977. He was a riverboat captain on the Ohio River. After the death of his first wife, Bryant married a widow named Eva. (She pronouced it "Ev-ee") I know her birthday was in Feb, her first husband was named Jesse S(?) and she had sisters. Margret "Maggie" A. Stavely, was also born in TN. She had one brother. We know he was married. No children known. She died in the birth of her third child at age 29. She is buried in a valley in TN. My Pappy said it was hard to find because part of the time it was flooded and there were alot of snakes. Thomas Edward Largent, born June 6, 1925. Son to Thomas Bryant and Margret A. Stavely Largent. Died June 17, 1998. Thomas said that he called his grandfather "Pappy" and that is what we called him. Pappy was a retired Master Machinist for BF Goodrich in Calvert City, KY. His one sibling was named Linda June, she perished due to shock when she accidently caught the hem of her dress on fire. I believe he said she was 6 years old. Thomas Edward married Hazel Anne Moreland, born June 12, 1941, and remained happily married until his death. They had no children. Patricia Faye Largent and Tommie Raye Largent, twins, born to Thomas and Melodean on April 3, 1946. Bonita Gayle Largent was born to Melodean and Thomas on Oct 1, 1953. Patricia Faye married David Michael Lewis, Feb 1969. She has taught school now since she was 19 years old.She currently teachs 3rd grade at Concord Elementry in Paducah, KY. She has a masters in elementry education. She attended Murray State University and the University of Louisville. Had three children : Jessica Renee Lewis, Oct 21, 1970 Shelby Dean Lewis, Nov 28, 1977 Micheal Patrick Lewis, March 1, 1981 David Micheal Lewis was born Aug 6, 1946 to Albert and Jesse Henry Lewis. He obtained his 4 year in business, then entered the US Marine Corp when he served as a Capt. He flew small planes. After he left the military, he achieved his law degree from the University of Louisville. Jesse was from Sulivan Ky. She was a secretary. She was raised on a family farm there. We do not know where Albert was from.We know little about the man. We know they divorced and he moved to Louisville where he started his own contruction company. He was said to have remarried and had more children also. We do not know thier names. David has several brothers and one sister, below oldest to youngest as listed: Shelby Lewis, currently lives in Paducah, Ky, Business owner, no children. Not married. Ronnie Lewis, last known address in LA, retired Popeye's Chicken corporate president, KFC vice president. Married to Mariland, 2 children. Ron Jr and Jeff. Neil Lewis, Ky/Oh border, Judge. Married to Gaye, 2 children, Roger and Holly. David Michael Lewis, Ky State Prosecuting Attorney, Louisville, KY. Divorced, 5 children: Jessica Renee, Shelby Dean, Micheal Patrick, Katie and Sam. Leslie Anne Lewis Camboni, LaGrange IL, small business owner. Married to Roy Camboni. Mother to Jessica & Sydney( twins), and Rose. Gregory Lewis, small business owner, Amarillo, TX. Beverly is a pediatric dentist, she achieved her degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Tommie is a retired school teacher. He recieved his degree from Murray State University and later, his master's. Beverly is one of 4 children. 2 sisters, 1 brother. Had two children: Thomas William Largent, June 3, 1972 Margret "Maggie" Ann Largent, Nov 18, 1977 Bonita Gayle married Richard Francis Cloyd in 1973. Bonita has a master's degree in Nursing Science. She is a specialist and currently a DA as well. She currently practices at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky. Richard has obtained several degrees including a law degree from U of L. They have one son: Lawrence Francis Cloyd, May 27, 1995 Jessica Renee Lewis married Scott Daniel Pavillard, Dec 31, 1994. She has three children: Kyllion Thomas Julian Harris, April 27, 1989 Collin Patrick Raye Harris, July 23, 1990 Krystin Melodean Faye Pavillard, June 25, 1992 (Was married once before to Richard Allen Harris, but that marriage was legally annulled) Micheal Patrick Lewis married Alissa Rose Jakobs in June of 2000. They have one daughter: Autumn Renee Lewis, Dec 19, 2000 Thomas William Largent Married Heather (??) in the summer of 1994. CHP authorities said Wooton was traveling at about 75 miles per hour when the car skidded. The vehicle first struck the shoulder then skidded to the opposite shoulder and landed in a ditch. Wooton was pronounced dead on arrival at Lodi Memorial Hospital. He reportedly received a severe blow in the middle of his forehead and other major head injuries. A Trucking Contractor and resident of the Lodi District for 10 years; Wooton made his home at the corner of Indiana and Chestnut Sts. in Woodbridge. He was (continued on Page 2) a business partner of Dan Anderson of Lodi. The Highway Patrol said Wooton was apparently returning home from a pheasant hunting trip when the accident occurred. His rifle was found in the car, and several rounds of ammunition were on his person. Wooton is survived by his wife, Lucille, two daughters, Mrs. Lois Schlabs of Modesto, and Nancy Wooton of Woodbridge, and two grandchildren, tommy and Lucille Schlabs of Modesto. He was the brother of Ralph Wooton of Billings, Mont.; Donald Wooton of Ida Grove, Iowa; Mrs. Chester Goodwin of Sioux City, Iowa; and Mrs. Lester Lambert of Chicago. Funeral services are pending the arrival of relatives at Lodi Funeral Home.
