    1. [CASanJoaquin] Webbs and Gards
    2. Gard Meddaugh
    3. I was wondering if anyone on the list was following either the Webb or Gard families in San Joaquin County. Specifically, James Webb came to California in 1854 with Charles Gard; James was b. Kentucky in 1806 and died in the Fair Oaks area of Stockton in June 1909. Charles first came to California in 1845, returned to Mo. several times and, after he brought the Webbs into California in 1854 he married James Webb's dau., Nancy, near Stockton. I'm trying to put together Charles' life and will then do same for James. Much of my info on the Webbs is at: http://home.pacbell.net/gardm/webb.htm I will post what I have on the site [eventually]. Any help appreciated. cheers, Gard Meddaugh in Mtn. View, California

The Rootsweb attachment feature only accepts GEDCOMs and graphic files. Have thought about posting them to a photo site such as OFOTO.com but would mean you'd have to pay to download them. May do it eventually but as of now plan to stay with current set-up as long as demand is a low as it is. Am sending 3 you're interested in direct to your e-mail address. Vern D

    3. Lizze Case died in San Joaquin county, CA on 14 Oct 1938. Her husbands initials were F. R. Lizze was 77 years old. Do you think she died at the State Hospital? I am working full time right now.. but perhaps someone on the San Joaquin, CADI or Norcal list can do a dct for you. I don't think there would be an obit, as those who died at the Stockton state hospital seldom had obits... but may be worth a look. Records are private & about the only way to gain access is via court order or to have a physican request them for research purposes. The records, if they exist, will most likely be at the CA State Archives. Some of the more recent ones went other places. -----Original Message----- From: cookie [mailto:cookie@linkline.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 14, 2003 8:07 PM To: margecam@attbi.com Subject: Stockton State Hospital Do you know how I would go about finding out about my Great Aunt who was an imate in this hospital from 1915-1930......
