I have an ancestor shown on the 1901 SF City Director as employed with the SP Co. as a clerk in the auditor's dept. and also on the 1900 SF census, his occupation is listed as clerk at RR station. Do any records exist that might give me additional information on this man. His name is Marshall Edgar Hotchkiss - in 1900 he was living at 534 Bush St. (a boarding house) and on the 1901 city directory it says resided at 24 & 5th. At least I think the record says 5th.
