In the 1895 San Francisco City Directory, Central Avenue runs from Pacific Ave and the Presidio Reservation, with that being the #1 Central to Waller and Buena Vista, being 2401 Central. But in the 1896-97 on the street has done a 180 degree flip with the street starting at Buena Vista and Waller, 1 Central, and ending at Pacific Avenue, 2400 Central. Does anyone know why and was this the only street to do that, and why? For I was checking for someone, and their business moved from 206 Central, in 1895 to 1612 Central, in 1896, but they only really moved from Central between Washington and Clay to Central between Sutter and Bush.
