My heartfelt thanks to Sue O'Donnell for the tip on the online CA Death Index. Found a relative on it that I have been seeking for many years, and had only assumed she was in CA. She was not listed on the other index's, but this one carried her. Unfortunately, it turns out she died in 1998 at age 82, so I can't meet her. At least I now know she died in Lake Co., so I finally have a starting point. I will get a copy of her death certificate, and try to find an obituary.
