In the spirit of Memorial Day, I thought I would post these links to the history of the 30th Photo Recon who served in France, Belgium and Germany in WW II. Many of these men were from Northern California. My Uncle, Sgt. Albert Sperisen was a member of the group, and was responsible for the production of the report shown in the second link. Uncle Albert Sperisen lived his entire life, except for his military duty, in San Francisco, and died in May of 1999, nearly 91 years old. He was my mother's twin brother. (My mother died two months later in July of 1999, two weeks short of her 91st birthday.) To find the lists of men, click on "Reports" in the drop down menu. Some are still in progress. (Some may not load well in Netscape.) Good links to other WW II and Military History sites. http://w3.one.net/~cabalcom/30thPRS/30thprs-home.html Link to the report my Uncle worked on. Scroll to the end to get links to photos. There are also links in the text to photos of some of the personnel. http://home.earthlink.net/~donbarnum/ Check it out. "rwalker"
