Janet, The names were not mentioned, but I did find a notation about Lincoln School in "San Francisco: Mission to Metropolis" by Oscar Lewis on page 114. It is as follows: "Another evidence of rapid growth was the building in 1864-65 0f the Lincoln School on Market Street at Fifth". I also have a book called San Francisco's Golden Era by Lucius Bebee and Charles Clegg published in 1960. In the notation about the authors it states: ...Charles Clegg, his (Luciuc Bebee)associate in such properties as private railway cars and the opinionated 'Territorial Enterprise' shares his affection for the lavish.
