    3. I am having the same problem. I am trying to find 913 San Jose Avenue in San Francisco. It was in Supervisor's District No. 1, Enumeration Distri t No. 139 in 1900 next to Mission street. I have gone through hundreds of pages of the 1910 Census trying to find this same address without any luck. How do you go about finding the ED for a given census? Any help would be appreciated. 3. If you have the name of the party who was living at the addresses you are interested in --- you search for them on the SOUNDEX (by surname) - the soundex card will give you the ED and page number on the actual census. The SOUNDEX records for 1900 included ALL persons listed in ALL states of the 1900 census since the 1890 census was almost fully destroyed by fire in 1921, the extra work and expense of doing a complete soundex for the 1900 census was considered worth the effort. Soundex and census microfilms are available at your FHC. Good luck! 3. Nancy, -- Copy of reply I sent to Jeannette -- Jeannette, Unfortunately, I have not found a source for placing a street address within an Enumeration District. When I was searching for relatives in Oakland, CA, I had to go through the ancestry description of the boundaries and then use yahoo.com maps to find the area in question. Long and tedious but the only way I found that worked. If there was no description, I pulled up the ancestry images and had to compare the street names and addresses with the yahoo.map. Not easy and not fun but effective. Hopefully, you'll have better luck but when I posted the same question I did not receive a positive response. Good luck, Raymond ----- Original Message ----- From: "Loder Family" <loderfam@mchsi.com> To: <CASANFRA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 18, 2002 1:38 PM Subject: Re: [CASANFRA] 1910 Census for San Francisco > I am having the same problem.
