I have received a copy of my GGrandparetns wedding in 1885 (thanks to Jim Faulkinbury!) and the preacher is listed as one Rev. H.W. Beers. Family lore is that they were Christian Scientists but I am not sure of this. Does anyone have any ideas where to go to find any information on the good Rev. Beers...affiliation, churches served etc... Thanks! Pete Klein
Hi Pete (again) I checked my 1880 Census index for H. W. Beers and found this listing. I figure, with this, you can go to the actual census (see FHL film number below) and see were he was located. Actual census will probably mention the church by name - at least it will give you the address - He is a "clergyman" on this index..
