Thanks George for looking up the Cosmoplatin Millinery 1880-81. Did it list an address for this Millinery? I appreciate your help. Thanks Eugene Beckett
Eugene This what I found in the 1880-81 San Francisco City Directory; Cosmopolitan Millinery Store, owned by P. Mish and Son, 816 Market. P. Mish and Son, were Phenes and Barrow Mish, which were also at 539 Market, as Importers of Millinery and straw goods. Barrow Mish, lived at 328 Eddy Phenes Mish, lived at 421 Ellis Mrs. Sarah Mish, also lived at 421 Ellis, and had her own Millinery Store, at 133 Kearny. (wife of Phenes and mother of Barrow?) last that year a Solomon G. Mish, bookkeeper, for P. Mish and Son, living at 606 Kearny. In the 1881-82 on Cosmoplitan Millinery and P. Mish and son are not listed, but this is what was; Barrow Mish, manager Mrs Sarah Mish Millinery, 708 Market, living at 421 Ellis Phenis Mish, merchant, living at 421 Ellis Mrs. Sarah Mish, Millinery 133 Kearny and 708 Market, living at 421 Ellis Solomon G Mish, Bookkeeper, for Levy, Diamant and Co., living at 606 Geary. Levy, Diamant and Co., were importers and manufactures of boots and shoes, salesroom 107 Battery, Factory at Drumm and Washington. Hope this helps --- Eugene Beckett <mvfr@midwest.net> wrote: > Thanks George for looking up the Cosmoplatin > Millinery 1880-81.
