I used to announce the NBC dance band remotes at Bimbos. Remember in particular Ted Lewis Orchestra. After the shows Gino used to take me and the engineer to the bar and tell the bartender, "Give these guys whatever they want." After a few drinks it was off to the Papagayo Room at the Fairmount Hotel for great Mexican food at midnight. Wonderful days.
