    1. [CASANFRA] Burglar in San Francisco during the 1940's, 50's?
    2. Lavonne Emler
    3. Greetings all, I just received a story from one of my relatives concerning my grandmother in San Francisco who talked her way out of a burglary. Now the part which was interesting, this burglar was called something like the "Green Gloved" Burglar. He would break into the homes in San Francisco but not hurt anyone. My grandmother saw him in the reflection of a mirror while she was alone in the house. So she started talking as if someone was in the house with her and it scared the man away. Does anyone recall anything like this? A colorful burglar. The letter I received said this was something that really scared San Franciscans for a period of time. He had entered several homes and people started locking their doors. I wanted to include this in the family history and make sure it isnt just one of those wild stories passed down. Thanks Lavonne

    3. Yes, I remember the Green Glove burglar but do not know the year. Maybe someone with newspaper index knowledge can help.
