Does someone have access to a census index for San Francisco for 1860? It doesn't seem to be on Ancestry or I'm looking in the wrong place. I'm looking for: Father: Robert Sinclair Miller, b 1816 Son: George Sinclair Miller, b 1840 George's mother, Margaret ?, died soon after George was born and he was raised by his grandmother. The only grandmother I have a name for is Caroline Mathilda Miller. Check on the index for her too please. Family story says that George arrived in San Francisco on the day that "the vigilantes hung Charles Cora and a man named Casey in the year of 1854". I've done some checking and they were hanged on 22 May 1856, not 1854. Does anyone have a list of ship passenger arrivals for that day? I also need an obituary for Robert Sinclair Miller. He died in 1875 in San Francisco, but I don't know what day. Is there an index out there somewhere? I'm posting this both to the NORCAL and San Francisco lists.
