Hi My name is Barbara Cunningham and i live in Campbelltown, NSW Australia. I am hoping someone on the list can give me some advice on where to start my search for husbands lost Great Aunts. The ladies in question are Ellen Cunningham born 1864, Fanny Cunningham born 1868 and Mary Jane Cunningham 1877. Eugene Cunningham married Bridget O'Halloran in 1863 and they had seven children Ellen - 1864 Honorah - 1865 Brian - 1866 Fanny - 1868 Eugenie - 1871 died as an infant Eugene John - 1875 Mary Jane - 1877 Bridget died in march 1878 and on the 5th of June 1882 he married Mary Edgeworth, they had 3 sons Francis - 1884 Theophilus - 1886 Lucien - 1889 Mary Edgeworth attended Vassar, although we haven't been able to find her graduating. Her parents were James Edgeworth and Honora Coghlan. According to my father-in-law Ellen, Fanny and Mary Jane returned to America with Mary Edgeworths parents. So far i have had no luck finding them. According to their fathers Obituary the three girls by 1905 were all married and living in California. I have been able to find Ellen and Mary Jane arriving onboard the Zealandia in 1897. In the 1900 census Mary Jane was living in San Francisco and working as a servant for a Thomas Bethel, But i am having trouble going any further. I realise that this is a long shot, but, i am hoping that someone will recognise the names and we can find a connection. Sorry if i have been long winded Hope to hear from someone soon Regards Barb
