Since I haven't seen this on the list yet, I thought it would be fitting to give credit where credit is due. The Native San Franciscan article was written several years ago by columnist Carl Nolte and was published in the SF Chronicle. The essay, in its entirety, can be found on several websites by doing a websearch for "native san franciscan."
