The San Francisco Public Library - History Center today took possession of the mortuary records for these firms: Halsted & Co., N. Gray & Co., Gantner-Felder-Kenny, Godeau, and H.F. Suhr. These are pre-1920 records, with some for N. Gray going back to 1850. Some of these have indexes too. Of course, records between 1920 and 1985 are available from those nice folks over at researchity.com who are swimming in records. Halsted N.
