Hi, I'm new to the list. I am interested in Oofty Goofty. There seems to be very little information about him. Basically I have come across Dickson's trilogy and Asbury's THE BARBARY COAST. I have read rumors on the INTERNET that Oofty Goofty was a deserter from the German army but I haven't found a reliable source. Can anyone tell me more and perhaps direct me to additional sources?
