    3. Order the informational copy of the death certificate, which does not require a notarized statement. The informational copy is identical to the certified copy, except it has "INFORMATIONAL, NOT A VALID DOCUMENT TO ESTABLISH IDENTITY" printed across it. The San Francisco Dept. of Public Health is not fast (usually 4-5 weeks), but it is faster than the state Dept. of Health Services in Sacramento (6-8 weeks).
