I've been looking for Mary HUGHES COLLINS for several years now. I think I've located her in the 1900 Federal Census in San Francisco. This will be the first time I've researched in California and am hoping to get some guidance from the list. It would be greatly appreciated. Mary was born in 1864 in Ireland, immigrated in 1880, according to the census record. She was a dressmaker. She was a lodger at Hyde & Leavenworth. Her son, William DELANEY was born 1883 and was a boarder. He was born in California. I live in Maryland and am wondering where I should start to get information on these folks while they were in CA. Can anyone assist? Thanks, Sue
It would help if you could specify what types of records you are looking for. Death records? Marriage records? Have you searched the 1910, 1920, and 1930 censuses for Mary and her son? You mention getting information on Mary and her son while "they were in CA." Are you implying that they did not remain California? Your query is very confusing.
