North Cosmopolitan Grammar- Historical Sketch- SF Muni Report- 1879-80 This school is located on Filbert street, between Jones and Taylor streets in a commodious twelve-class wooden building, which at present accommodates five hundred and thirty-nine boys and girls. This school was first instituted in July, 1867, as a Cosmopolitan School for instruction in the German and French languages under the instruction of Miss Kate KENNEDY, the present Principal.
