Exposition Sculptor Dies after Accident San Francisco Examiner front page June 29 1914 Vernon K. JONES, sculptor at the Panama Pacific Exposition, who was thrown from his motorcycle when hit by a Sutter Street car at Sutter and Webster streets on June 22, died at the Lane Hospital yesterday as a result of his injuries. He suffered a fractured skull. JONES was 28 years old.
