This was in Matthew Brady's Column of July 17 2001. In it he mentions a Thomas Kytka; If a lawyer grew suspicious as he examined a will in 1897 he would seek help from Theodore Kytak, a local artist and expect in microphotography and handwriting who had just invented a remarkable camera that could magnify writing 3,600 times. The telescopic part, which was made up of 12 sections, or bellows, was 15 feet long when extended to its full capacity. It was connected by a black rubber clothe with an adjoining darkroom. Kytka explained to the curious that his new camera was indispensable in showing whether an erasure of any sort had been made on a document. A few notes: 1) I know nothing more that this. 2) The last time I checked he did not have a e-mail address. 3) So to get hold of him you can e-mail the paper at <letters@sfindependent.com> or call them at 415 826 1100 4) As to how much help he will be I do not know. For a number of months ago I gave him some information, one of them being on a story that he had ran with some more information on it, which a ran and did not either mention where he got or thank me.
