I am interested in knowing if there are any other living persons or descendants of passengers & crew of the ship "ALASKA" that was to have sailed from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco, California in August of 1921. After leaving Portland, the ship wrecked on Blunt's Reef off the coast of Eureka, Ca. on August 6, 1921. Of the 220 crew & passengers, 42 people died. I have a family member that is a living survivor of that event. She was a 4 year old that survived by floating on a piece of debris for many hours before her rescue.
