I am a leader of a Senior Girl Scout Troop and one of my girls for her Gold Award project has transcribed information about some of the cemeteries in Contra Costa County and made them available on the web. She got the idea because her mother is into genealogy and was distressed to learn that none of the cemeteries in Contra Costa were online. Catherine Cox is a senior at Acalanes High School in Lafayette and would be thrilled if you checked out her site and gave her some positive feed back. Alice, This sounds like a terrific project. The more cemeteries we have online the better it is for genealogists and historians. More importantly, the more cemeteries, large and small, that become listed the easier it will be for later generations to appreciate and help protect them.
