There is almost certainly no connection between St. Mary Star of the Sea parish in Gualala, Mendocino(http://www.mcn.org/1/aloysius/MARYSTAR.HTML) and in San Francisco (http://www.sfarchdiocese.org/parishes/starofthesea.html), apart from their both being Roman Catholic. The Stockton city Attorneys office has the ball at the moment.. trying to determine what went wrong and why. 2. Barbara Matthews office referred it to the Stockton City Administrator. 3. Mayor Podesto's office forwarded the information to the City Council for further review. 4. One of the listers here found the location of the death/burial index. Now the State Archives is trying to figure out if we can "weed" these from the medical records legally. I also have this before other departments.. including the city council. 5. I have been extracting stories from the Stockton Record, Daily & Evening Mail, Weekly Mail, etc.. all those old Stockton papers. Some very sad & some very informative stories. I am looking for information on George Avenall. The only information I have is this. Parents were William Avenall of England b. 1828 and Elisabeth born 1838 in Indiana. His parents are buries in Spring Creek Cemetery, Lincoln county, Washington. He had several brothers and sisters. One being my GGGrandmother Martha Ellen. At the time of her death in 1934, there were two brothers listed in her obituary: George and Jack who lived in MAdison, WA. Two sisters were listed also: Ida Thompson of Serwood, Ore(born 1866 in Missouri) and Floye Risse of Reardan, Wa. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Wanda
