    1. [CASANFRA] Swedenborgian Collection at P.S.R.
    2. George Rushton
    3. Got this on another list where they are looking for Librarian for the Swedenborgian Collection, which will now be at the Pacific School of Religion, Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley. But this not about the job, but that people in the past have asked about Swedenborgian Church in San Francisco. Maybe they will have some information here. Not sure if they are ready for a number of question, at this time. So maybe we should wait to they hire the person, which looks like it will not happen until April. ;-) George The Swedenborgian House of Studies (SHS), in partnership with the Pacific School of Religion (PSR), offers training and education in Swedenborgian theology to seminary students and laity. SHS at PSR serves as the seminary for the General Convention of the Swedenborgian Church, a Christian denomination whose theology is based on the writings of the eighteenth-century scientist and mystic, Emanuel Swedenborg. The House of Studies and Collection recently relocated to Berkeley from its century-old home in Boston. SHS has received a two-year grant that will fund a project of integrating the card catalog with the online catalog of the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) library, which is located just across the street. The Librarian will be responsible for directing this integration project and for maintaining a functioning library for student use. The Swedenborgian Collection consists of approximately 27,000 volumes, including works authored by Emanuel Swedenborg, Swedenborgian collaterals, periodicals, reference, and a general collection. In addition, there is a substantial archival collection containing various editions of Swedenborgs publications, denominational records and other archival materials related to Swedenborgian thought and history. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 1. [CASANFRA] DOWD/KELLEY/O'BRIEN/RODGERS
    2. Chris Elkins
    3. Marisa, Thank you for sending the information. Originally, I had been told that Anna had married Michael O'Brien first (IRE>NY) then John Kelley in San Francisco. However, I was puzzled by the fact that Jane (you have her listed as Jennie) looked substancially older than her O'Brien siblings in all the photographs I have. If your information is correct and she was married to John Kelley who died in NY then married (Mike?)O'Brien, this would explain why I have had one heck of a time finding John Kelley in San Francisco...hmmmm...On the other hand, Jane was born in California....interesting twist! However, I do have a picture of Anna Dowd(Doud) , Jane (Rodgers), Jane's son John Rodgers, and a man listed as "John Kelley" taken in Marin County, CA in 1913 (I think that's the date on the back, I would have to double check to be sure). So, it sounds like this John Kelley in the picture might be her older brother. I believe at least one of the Kelley brothers married and had children. I have another photograph that my grandmother identified as a John Kelley also. In the picture he is holding a violin. My grandmother said he was quite good and had played professionally somewhere in the Bay Area. As for D.L. Welty, this person submitted information on a Jane Sara Kelley Rodgers to the Native Daughters of the Golden West Pioneer Roster. He/she listed the source of information as a paper on "Early Kelley Family History". I figured he/she had to related in some way, and I would like to find out what other Kelley history they might be willing to share. Christine
