    1. [CASANFRA] Marriage Index?
    2. Richard Malatzky
    3. Can someone please tell me if there is an index to San Francisco marriages around 1906? I am trying to determine if a woman listed as Margaret Moore widow 707 Ellis was the Margaret J (nee Agnew) who married Barry Getz in 1906. I figure that if this was her, then her husband Henry S Moore had died by 1902, because she was listed at that address from 1903 to 1906. Short of obtaining a marriage record which should list her address, I would like to check the Chronicle or Examiner to see what they have to say.

    3. Thanks, Ruth! I have e-mailed the archivist at the Moraga campus. I'm hoping she can help me identify the other graduates in the picture as well as tell me the year. I'm thinking at this point the class picture had to have been taken around 1910. For anyone else interested, I came across this web site with old postcards of the "Brickpile" as the Oakland campus was called. http://wedey.hispeed.com/post01.htm Thanks again! 3. List: I just scanned a picture of St. Mary's College and sent to someone which got me thinking that I don't know too much about the college itself, how and why it was moved over the years. Was it originally in SF? The picture I have indicates Oakland(1912), and I think currently it's in Moraga. Also, just out of curiosity, I have boxes of old pictures. My family has been in the Bay Area since the mid 1800's. Is there a web site that I might scan and send these to in order to share them with others who may be interested in them? The pictures range from family potraits, elementary school pictures, postcards from areas like Mendocino, Marin, and Contra Costa Counties, pictures of homes in SF (one listed as 927 Florida St. early 1900's) and other pictures with names on the back of people I'm not sure of. And of course I have a couple of St. Mary's College. Oh and if anyone is interested in the old Essanay Movie Company, I even have a couple of picture stills from one of their movies. 3. Could someone please check any or all of the San Francisco City Directories 1873-1878 for San Francisco's other nutcase, Salmi Morse. Research is showing that he was more bizarre than our more well-known Emperor Norton. Thanks to all. p.s. His real name was either Samuel Moss or Solomon Moses, depending upon which source you can believe.

    1. [CASANFRA] John Fletcher HUNTER--Hotel Manager
    2. Hello, I just received an obituary that states a relative, John Fletcher HUNTER was a Hotel Manager in San Francisco for many years. He retired in 1947 and moved to San Diego. In 1904 he was married in Camden NJ and listed as living in Denver CO. Does anyone have any City Directories that could help pin down where John worked and when he came to CA? He married a Caroline in 1904 but his widow is listed as Evelyn. Thank you. Kathy Karn

    3. So you might want to check with them at < 415.557.4567> Also you might want to check with Bancroft Library and see if they might have some of photos of the hotel and room <http://bancroft.berkeley.edu/reference/> George --- Ruthingabo@aol.com wrote: > My father's company installed the rosewood panelling > and bar in the El Prado > (it used to be very big for lunch) and would love to > find a picture of it. > Do any listers have any ideas? 1. [CASANFRA] CADI Mistakes?
    2. Josh Brown
    3. Hello: Does anyone have any suggestions for this situation? My g.g.grandfather, Barnett Pinter aka Barnet and Bernard Pinter, was listed as living in San Francisco in 1902, but by 1905, his wife was listed as a widow. I know he died around then, but I can't find him in CADI? Is this earlier then CADI goes? Since he died in San Francisco, does that mean that the records were destroyed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Josh Brown _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
