Turner - TURNER, NOEL I. - Born Aug. 10, 1918 in Clarksville, Arkansas, passed away Apr. 28, 2002 in his Sacramento home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Pauline. Also survived by a son James Turner and wife Karen, daughters Jan Ditto and Linda Bradley all of Sacramento, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many loving family and friends. Noel and Pauline married and moved to Sacramento in Dec. 1937. Here he began working in construction and eventually obtained a General Contractors license and started Turner & Son Construction. He joined the Marines during WW II and was awarded the Bronze Star for courage during the battle for Iwo Jima. He was a life time member of VFW Post 67. Noel was a kind, gentle, tower of strength known for his honor, integrity and devotion to family. His passing will leave a tremendous void in the lives of all who knew him. Friends are welcome for visitation Tuesday, April 30th from 12pm to 7pm and are invited! to attend Services Wednesday, May 1st at 11:00am all at NICOLETTI, CULJIS & HERBERGER Funeral Home , 5401 Folsom Blvd. Interment, Camellia Memorial Lawn.
