Your Jesse Derr was the brother of my 3rd great garndfather. I don't know much about the Derrs in California but Jesse was born in Lee County, Iowa, his father was Marthin Van Buren Derr. Martin aling with some of his family moved to California while some remained in Iowa. Hope to hear from you, am willing to share what I have. Joyce Newton
