Davis for some time under the mistaken assumption that he was in my genealogical line. Well, after some time of researching him, I was able to find a volunteer that was kind enough to send me a copy of his obit - his obit proved to me that we are not related. Anyway,I decided to post what I found on this message board, the county his family had their strongest tie to (and to Lucas Co., IA, his probable birth county), so that all my research, and the kind volunteer's time, don't go to waste!
