His "last known residence" was Roseville, Placer County, CA. I had tossed around the idea that he didn't live there but may have had children in the area. But I thought I would start with his "last known residence" to locate family or an obituary. Wayne L McQueen was born near or around Kansas City, MO in 1928 to John Cole McQueen and Hazel Knipschild. According to his mother's obituary in 2000, the family lived around Kansas City until 1965. The parents moved to Loveland, CO. Then in 1976 his parents moved to Twin Falls, ID to be near his sister, Pernecia "Pat" McQueen Heineman. His other sister Betty McQueen Anderson died in 1977 possibly in Independence, MO. At the time of the obituary, Wayne lived in San Leandro, CA. I am looking for any information on this family in MO, ID, CA or CO. The one listed as "Last Residence" (more properly should be called "address of record") in SSDI is not necessarily the place of death. This was brought home when researching an individual who died while on vacation in Florida. His "last residence" shows up as New Hampshire, which was his legal residence (or address of record) at the time, but that is not where he died. Consider the possibility that a person might have had two official residences also; many "snowbirds" do. Read the search results carefully. The actual place of death is not shown in the SSDI. Some records show where "last benefit" was sent, but that is not necessarily the place of death or the deceased's address of record either. "Last Benefit" only refers to the payment of the lump sum death benefit (a burial allowance of about $250 that went to the surviving spouse).

Also have William's obit. Not able to locate Charles in Auburn Journal. However, on a hunch I checked Sacto Bee... He was there. could I have address to mail to you? Unfortunately they did not leave a name or address where I could contact them and thank them! I would love to get ahold of this person so that I could thank them so much for returning my wallet with all of it's contents! I had lost my wallet on June 4th 2006 in the American River at Discovery Park, the note enclosed on my wallet said "This was found @ Pier 39 San Francisco at the water's edge. Please send back to CA drivers license address or other appropriate" I need to find whomever did this and thank them so much! My heart is overjoyed just knowing that a perfect stranger would do something like this for me! I sit here crying as I type this and I can feel the love and warmth for whomever did this, you have made such an impact on my life. On the 4th of June I have been seven months clean and sober, through the grace of God have I made it, and now this. The city of Isleton must be a very special place to have s! uch a very special person. Thank you!

She was` adopted, or so family says. I have her photo album from the turn on the century- 1895-1905, with her family members.
