One is Annie Carter. I also have the death notice of Mrs. J. A. Carter in Pearsall, Texas. She was 29 years on when she died in December of 1897. The other death notice I have is from the paper. The first part of the name is ripped off, but the rest says ? C. Carter (don't know maiden name). She was born in ? Carolina (page ripped) in 1821 and married William Carter in TN, Sept. 1, 1841. She died Oct. 9m 1899. She left a daughter (A. C. Carter - might be my Annie Carter who I have a picture of), a sister, and other relatives. This info came from papers my mother-in-law kept who from from Gassville/Mountain Home, AR She most likely got these papers from her mother Charlotte Jane (Newman) Browning. Let me know if there is a connection so I can figure out the Carter connection. Other names are Anderson Carter and Bart Carter (from news story of a murder) Exciting history! Wish I knew more.
