I am still searching for parents of my g-grandmother, ALICE HANNAH CARTER Williams. Family info has always said her mother's maiden name was Turner. Alice was born 3 Aug 1865 in Cumberland Co., KY. She married Hiram Williams there on 16 July 1881. A few years back I found a book listing her with parents named Clinton Carter and Sallie Rush. Children listed with these parents were as follows: Susan, Jane, Elizabeth, Willie (William), Alice Hannah, Melia, John. Info I received from a distant cousin named the following children of (?) CARTER & (?) TURNER: Alice Hannah, b. 1865; Melia, b. 1867; Jane, b. 1869; John, b. 1871. Melia m. Alfred Anderson 9 July 1886 in KY. So far I have found no marriage records for either Alice or Melia. Both did come to TX about the same time (between 1890 & 1893) and both died in Hopkins Co., TX.
