I'm looking for info about: Eliza CARTER, daughter of Matthew and Eliza CARTER, b. 1835. Matthew CARTER was a son of Robert and Jannetje HOPPER CARTER. My Eliza m. Garret STRYKER in 1860. Living in Brooklyn, they had a son Peter, and two daughters Violetta and Florence. As of 1910 census Violetta had married into the DODGE family. My CARTER info is from _The NYG&BR_ vol.XCII #2 (April 1961). Mentioned there also are Eliza's sisters Violetta, who married into the DEAN family, and Margaret, who married into the MOTT family, and whose son Onward MOTT and family appear to have been living with his Aunt Eliza in the 1900,1910, and 1920 census. Other CARTER brothers of Eliza mentioned also: Robert, Edward, George W, Matthew, Uzziah, Samuel (lived with Eliza's family much of his adult life), and Lawrence.I'm looking for descendants of these CARTERS, STRYKERS and MOTTS.
