Hi Carters, Again I was touched by the similarity of your Carter ancesters to mine. They had their sizeable families and suddenly died as they were rearing them and settling the land, leaving the children orphaned. FYI, we have determined that this was before they knew about adult onslaught diabetis, what eating habits brought it on, or any cures. When we see parents passing on in the 40s, we think this is why. Otherwise, Carters stay around a long time. My great grandmother Martha Jane (Carter) Middleton of Bluford, IL b 1859, d 1902 married at 27, had 8 children, and died at 42 of diabetis. Her husband died suddenly the next year and all children were spread around 5 states. So sad.
